One-to-one movement support
Movement Support
For injury recovery, prehab, posture, strength and mobility
Personalised movement coaching that helps you rebuild strength, improve control and move with greater confidence, whatever your starting point.
Support shaped around you
Move forward without a generic programme
Whether you're recovering after injury treatment, managing a long-standing postural problem, or simply finding that your body feels less capable than it used to, this is where we start.
Sessions are calm, structured and built entirely around you. There are no generic programmes and no pressure to keep up with somebody else.
I assess how you move, identify where strength, alignment or control is being lost, then use focused movement work to create real and lasting change.
How I can help
Four areas of movement support
The areas below often overlap. Your first session helps establish what matters most and where we should begin.
Injury recovery
01
Rehab and prehab coaching
Support for injury recovery and preparing safely for surgery
Recovery after injury treatment or surgery takes more than rest. It takes structured, progressive movement work that rebuilds strength, restores stability and gives you confidence in your body again.
I work with clients who are ready to start moving again but are unsure how to do so safely. Whether you're preparing for a procedure or rebuilding afterwards, sessions are paced at where you are now and progress as your body is ready.
This may be right for you if you:
- Are recovering from surgery or after injury treatment
- Are managing ongoing discomfort or movement avoidance
- Are preparing your body ahead of a planned procedure
- Are returning to movement after a long period of inactivity
We identify areas of weakness or compensation and work gently but effectively to restore confidence and control. Progress is paced so you feel supported, not pushed.
Alignment and posture
02
Posture correction
Release strain, improve alignment and reduce everyday tension
Posture problems tend to be the result of how your joints stack, move and compensate for areas of weakness, stiffness or restriction.
Telling yourself to sit up straight doesn't address the cause. I look at the patterns creating stiffness or strain and work with you to correct them through focused awareness and clear movement cues.
This may be right for you if you:
- Sit for long hours at a desk
- Experience tightness in the back, neck or shoulders
- Notice imbalance or uneven weight distribution
- Want to feel lighter and more comfortable day to day
We remove unnecessary tension, improve alignment and strengthen the areas that support everyday posture. Clients often notice immediate improvements in comfort and ease.
Functional strength
03
Strength conditioning
Build control, tone and joint stability
Strength isn't just a fitness goal. For anyone recovering from injury treatment, surgery or a period of inactivity, rebuilding strength at the right pace is an essential part of regaining function.
Sessions focus on controlled, progressive movement that restores stability, rebuilds muscle and supports the joints and structures affected by injury or surgery.
This may be right for you if you:
- Are rebuilding strength after injury treatment or surgical recovery
- Have lost muscle tone or stability after inactivity
- Need to strengthen specific areas during rehabilitation
- Want to regain physical confidence safely and sustainably
You'll learn to move with precision so that strength develops where it's needed. This approach creates lasting results rather than quick wins that don't last.
Mobility and balance
04
Mobility and balance coaching
Movement support for older adults
Staying steady, mobile and confident isn't a given, but it's absolutely achievable with the right kind of work.
These sessions focus on balance, coordination, range of movement and functional strength. Everything is tailored to your current ability and progressed at a pace that feels manageable.
The goal is to make everyday tasks feel easier and safer, and to keep you active and independent for the long term.
This may be right for you if you:
- Feel unsteady or are concerned about falling
- Notice stiffness or reduced range of movement
- Want to remain active and independent
- Are rebuilding after illness or a long period of inactivity
We progress gradually, focusing on safety, stability and real-life movement. You will move better, feel steadier and regain confidence in your body’s ability.
What happens in a session
Clear, focused and built around your body
You don't need to arrive knowing which type of support you need. The first session naturally includes observation, assessment and movement work.
We discuss what is happening
We look at your history, current concerns, everyday movement and what you'd like to improve.
I observe how you move
I assess posture, control, alignment, mobility and where your body may be compensating.
We begin working immediately
You receive focused movement cues and exercises that address what we've found, rather than a generic routine.
We progress at the right pace
Sessions evolve as your strength, confidence and control improve, with practical guidance you can also use between appointments.
More than thirty years of experience
Less done mindfully is more effective than more done mindlessly
My approach is calm, precise and practical. I explain what we're doing, why it matters, and what your body is telling us.
You'll be challenged where appropriate, but never rushed or pushed through movement your body isn't ready to manage.
The aim isn't simply to complete exercises. It's to help you understand your movement, rebuild confidence and create changes that continue beyond the session.
Not sure where to start?
You don't need to decide before getting in touch
Book a call and tell me what's happening. We can discuss what your body needs, whether my approach is suitable, and how we can move forward together.
