My approach
Movement, nutrition and whole-body assessment
The way I work
I look at the whole picture
Most people come to me because something isn't working. A persistent ache, a loss of strength, a body that feels less reliable than it used to. My job is to understand why, not simply address the symptom.
I observe how you move, how you recover, how you sleep, how you eat and how stress shows up in your body. All of these influence how well you stabilise, adapt and progress.
Ignoring them means working harder for slower results. Understanding how they interact allows us to work more precisely.
One connected system
Movement doesn't happen in isolation
Strength, posture and mobility are affected by more than exercise. The way your body responds depends on how movement and nutrition interact.
Movement
I assess posture, breathing, flexibility, mobility, stability and the compensations your body has developed over time.

Food affects energy, inflammation, hormonal balance, recovery, muscle function and how efficiently your body adapts to training.

The health appraisal
Before your first session, I'll send you a comprehensive Health Appraisal Questionnaire. This is not a standard intake form.
It covers 12 areas of function, including gastrointestinal health, endocrine function, glucose regulation, cardiovascular health, mood, immune function, musculoskeletal health and hormonal balance.
The questionnaire explores areas such as:
- Breathing patterns and diaphragm function
- Stress load and recovery capacity
- Sleep quality
- Digestive patterns and general nutritional habits
- Hormonal influences
- Past injury and long-term health history
Once you've completed the questionnaire, I analyse the results and we sit down together to go through the findings.
This conversation shapes everything that follows, including the movement work, the nutritional guidance and the pace at which we progress.
Why this matters
Everything in your body is connected
Your core isn't simply a group of abdominal muscles. It's a coordinated system involving the diaphragm, deep abdominal wall, pelvic floor and surrounding stabilising muscles.
Breathing patterns, stress load, sleep quality, digestive health and nutritional intake all affect how this system performs.
When these factors are disrupted, the body may compensate.
When this happens, progress can feel inconsistent. Strength plateaus. Pain persists despite regular exercise. Strengthening alone does not create sustainable change.
Understanding the broader picture allows the work to be more precise and more effective.
Nutrition
Food influences how your body moves and recovers
Nutrition is part of how I work, not an add-on. What you eat directly affects how your body moves, expresses health, recovers and responds to exercise.
It influences energy levels, inflammation, hormonal balance and how efficiently your deep stabilising system functions.
My nutritional approach is rooted in the principles of biochemical uniqueness.
Based on your health appraisal results and goals, I provide practical nutritional guidance that complements your movement programme.
This can include one-to-one consultations, ongoing guidance as part of your sessions and meal suggestions where needed.
Personalised from the start
Your programme grows from what we find
Your sessions are shaped by your movement patterns, health history, appraisal results and goals.
As your body changes, the work changes with it. We reassess, progress and adapt rather than forcing you through a fixed routine.
